Hello there!
After a rather hectic Summer, I am finally back and ready to review more products! I am going to start with a blusher this time from Benefit called CORALista. It is a hefty £23.50 (eek!) but I am currently on my third box/pot of it as I absolutely love it and it smells gorgeous.
In my opinion, CORALista is a Summer shade blusher as it gives you a tropical flush with a hint of sparkle, therefore it is also suitable for going out as you can apply several layers without it looking scary/clown-like. I am naturally a very pale person but even for me it gives a warm glow and adds to my complexion. It also settles well on top of my foundation if I am in a bit of a rush and don't have the time to wait for my foundation to dry.
The only downside would be how quickly it runs out. For the price, I would expect it to last a good three or four months. I have had mine since early August and it already has a huge hole in the centre where the bottom of the box is showing through :( I may need to save it for special occasions.
Overall, I would give CORALista an 8/10. It is worth getting if you love Benefit as a make up brand and want something that little bit extra special.
A beauty blog for those with problem skin, such as the dreaded acne, and those on a budget like myself.

Rimmel: Wake Me Up foundation
Hello!
I have tried many foundations since being diagnosed with acne and it is almost impossible to find one that gives a good coverage, is light, soft textured and gives a smooth finish. The Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' foundation is brilliant for a dewy glow during the day and a flawless finish in the evening, without having to cake it on layer after layer. It doesn't feel oily on the skin, and blends in well with many concealers. I often find that concealers can be a lot lighter than a foundation and therefore may look patchy upon the skin if applied after foundation.
I apply it with a foundation brush as I find that even after one pump, a lot of foundation does come out and is often difficult to apply with fingers. I have found that you'll need at least one or two layers to get an even coverage as even the palest shade (which is what I have, number 100: Ivory) is a little bit orange, especially if not rubbed in properly under the chin area, causing an unattractive orange line.
Overall, it covers up my spots well and doesn't irritate my skin/spots. My skin is very blemished and after washing it with a facial wash, my skin goes very red and blotchy. Not a good look. I leave my skin to calm down before applying this foundation, otherwise I apply too much and my make up looks heavy as opposed to natural.
Furthermore, the foundation settles well onto moisturiser and sinks into the skin quickly. Overall, I would give this foundation an 8/10 due to its coverage and flawless finish.

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Facial Scrub
I have been using this facial scrub since being at University as it was on promotional offer at the end of 2012. At an average price of £5, it is pretty good. The fragrance is citrusy and sweet with the scent of grapefruit. It is an exfoliating face wash, however the micro beads are very small and they aren't harsh on the skin. Like it says on the front, it does leave a fresh, clean feel in the morning and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry.
The facial scrub leaves a slight tingle on the skin so you know it is clean. Although it says it prevents blemishes and spots, I still have breakouts so for me, it's not suitable for problem skin such as acne. The product is much more suited to skin that has the occasional breakout. Overall, I would give it a 7/10 as the scent is gorgeous and my skin does feel clean and refreshed.
Much Love,

Liz Earle
The Liz Earle range is fantastic for sensitive skin and is even suitable for those with eczema. It has a lovely fresh smell and contains many natural and organic ingredients. My family and I have been using it for over four years to take our make up off every night. The 'Cleanse & Polish' is a white cream that comes with a white cloth called a muslin that you wash the mask off with. You can also use it as a face-mask too! I do during the Winter months when my skin is that little bit more dry than usual and needs a good pamper session.
'Cleanse & Polish' doesn't upset my skin, nor does it dry it out. It doesn't cause me any break outs as it is not oily. I would rate it an overall 9/10 as it is suitable for all skin types and is great for moisturising the skin too.
The 'Instant Boost Skin Tonic' is another fantastic product from the Liz Earle range that leaves skin feeling revitalised. It also comes in a little spray bottle that I love to take on holiday with me in hot climates to spray my face with as it's so refreshing. I sweep it over my face after the 'Cleanse & Polish' for a clean feel. I would give it an 8/10 as my skin does feel great after using it. Although it doesn't contain any anti-bacterial ingredients to fight spots.
I often find it difficult to find a moisturiser suitable for my skin. I need something very light so it sets a good base for my make up & it just cannot be oily. The 'Skin Repair Light Moisturiser' is great before bed as it sinks into your skin leaving it very soft in the morning. However, for me- my foundation doesn't set onto it well at all. I have to wait a good 10-20 minutes to let it sink in before I apply. As of that, I give it a 7/10.
I am a huge fan of Liz Earle and would recommend you go on her website for a starter pack to start you off and see how you get on from there!
Much love,
Harriet

Best moisturiser to use on a budget of £5
Calling all fellow students! Or, generally anyone on a budget. This stuff is the best for such a low price. It smells fantastic and is a great prima base before your foundation as often moisturisers take ages to rub in or settle in your skin. If you're in a rush, it sinks into your skin instantly. I find that all moisturisers make my skin go a bit blotchy, but it leaves a nice glow and your foundation settles on top well without it looking cakey or heavy. It's available at most drug stores such as Boots or Superdrug. I got this on a promotional offer in Asda a few months back so keep your eyes out for it in there.
Mascara for daytime/work
Here is a close up of my eye with the Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara in brown. My lashes are short anyway, but for a daytime look that's more natural then I would recommend one-two layers of this mascara to make your eyes stand out. I would rate it an 8/10 as it's not clumpy or too watery. The brush is pretty good so you get an even coverage. Although the colour says brown, it's practically black. The foundation I am using in Clinique anti blemish. Any questions on that then please comment below :)
Eyebrows baby.
Eyebrows really do frame your face.
I once got told that I have literally no eyebrows, even though I have naturally very dark hair. One of my student friends told me to start drawing them on, which I got a bit scared about as you often see some girls with literal Nike ticks!I went to get some Mac concealer, as it covers my acne scars brilliantly and the colour match is practically exact, and the make up artist just started drawing them on for me. It's made such a difference. So, I brought it and now I am hooked!
If like me, you have very fair or barely visible eyebrows then I have just the thing. For all you Mac lovers out there, Mac offer a fantastic range of bold make up guaranteed to make you stand out. And so it should, for the price! I use Mac 'Eyebrow crayon' in Brunette to fill in my eye brows. I also use an old washed mascara brush to sort of 'comb' my eyebrows, which sound weird but the bristles are much stronger than you get on the end of most eyebrow pencils therefore you get a better shape of your eyebrows. Obviously there isn't any mascara on there! Do this before and after as the mascara brush also works as a corrector incase some areas are a tad bit dark. It saves you from wiping the whole thing off again that's for sure.
The eyebrow crayon is *whimper* £12.50 when I know Rimmel offer one for less than a fiver. The only downside is that it runs out pretty quickly as you cannot sharpen it. It's one of those roll up ones. Aside from that the colour is fantastic. I am very pale so I didn't want my eyebrows to look black. Now they are a subtle brown as opposed to very fair.

My favourite beauty products
Hello everyone!
As a girl who suffers from awful acne & dry skin, finding products that don't upset your skin or dry them out can seem impossible. After suffering with acne for over five years, a vast majority of my money and my parents money has been spent on finding the right products suitable for my skin type. Although they may seem pricey, for me they have worked an absolute treat and my acne isn't that noticeable with them on.
For clean skin and small pores, I recommend the three-step Clinique Anti-Blemish solutions. It's a foam liquid that is pumped out of the bottle. The face wash is fragrance free and doesn't sting or irritate your skin. Afterwards, sweep the anti-blemish toner over your face to get rid of excess dirt. Although the moisturiser is good, for my skin- it doesn't set a very good base for my foundation, which is a massive pain! I like the Neutrogena 'Visibly clear pink grapefruit' moisturiser as it smells gorgeous and my foundation sets very well with it on, even after I have just applied the moisturiser.
If you're on a budget (I am a student, therefore very poor at times!), I have started using supermarket branded products. Coming from someone who loves her brands, Asda's 'Protect' facial cleaning wash is a definite winner at just £.1.70 I believe. Even cheaper than alternative brands such as Clean and Clear, which I find pretty useless for my acne. Honestly, Asda's own brand face wash is brilliant as it smells lovely and doesn't dry my skin out. Excellent for break outs too as it contains anti-bacterial ingredients! My spots have been at a minimum since using it.
If you have any questions on what acne tablets I use, or where to get the products I have mentioned above, do not hesitate to let me know!
